Communities Around the World

Supporting the communities where International Paper employees live and work is an important part of the company’s vision. International Paper has established many strategic philanthropic partnerships and encouraged employee volunteerism in various countries around the world.

North America

International Paper’s North America communities are supported by the International Paper Company Foundation, a U.S. not-for-profit entity.

Since its inception in 1952, the IP Foundation has supported not-for-profit organizations in communities where IP has operating facilities. More than 215 North American facilities provide local grants with support of the IP Foundation, USA.

Europe, Middle East and Africa

International Paper’s IP-Kwidzyn Charity Foundation was established in Poland to strategically bring awareness to the region’s community needs and to encourage employee volunteerism. In addition, other philanthropic initiatives throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa are supported by International Paper facilities in those regions.

IP-Kwidzyn Charity Foundation was established in 1994 and raises its funds from voluntary donations from employees and an initial donation from the company. IP-Kwidzyn strives to improve health conditions and social welfare through the support of healthcare organizations. International Paper also works with company leadership in Russia to support philanthropic focus areas in this region.

International Paper communities in Asia, which includes India, are supported by the IP India Foundation and International Paper operations in Asia.

IP India Foundation represents one of our newest giving regions. Incorporated in 2013, IPIF undertakes corporate social responsibility efforts in environment, education and community engagement, which all make positive contributions to the communities around International Paper’s manufacturing facilities and farm forestry areas. IP India Foundation is continually refining its programs and seeking opportunities to make a difference in the communities where we live and operate. To learn more, visit
