Community In-Kind Donation and Sponsorship Request Procedure and Guidelines
International Paper's Memphis operational headquarters is proud to support the Memphis community with in-kind donations and sponsorships. Supporting the communities where IP employees live and work is an important part of the company's vision.
In-kind donations through IP's Memphis operation are aligned with the International Paper Foundation's well defined targeted areas of support and closely mirror its areas of support and grant-giving guidelines. General information and funding guidelines are available at www.ipgiving.com.
While Memphis operations closely mirrors the Foundation's areas of support, local community and employee donation requests are more restrictive and are limited to in-kind donation of paper and packaging to a small number of Memphis specific event sponsorships.
The following are guidelines in-kind donation and sponsorship requests. Please note: the opportunity to support a specific program vs. a one-time event will hold a higher priority.
- Requests must be submitted in writing on the official donation request form.
- Organizations requesting an in-kind donation or sponsorship must be an approved 501(c) 3 nonprofit.
- Support must benefit an organization within a 20-mile area of Memphis.
- Requests to assist with environmental and literacy (particularly for the youth) will hold a higher priority.
- Event sponsorship packets can be mailed to: International Paper Foundation - 6400 Poplar Ave. - Memphis, TN 38197.
The following will not be considered:
- In-kind donations to organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender or national origin.

An employee team meets every two to three weeks to review requests, and final decisions are made by employees who represent IP's business and staff groups. After review, all requests will receive a written response (letter of declination).
