Government Relations Representative
Phillip Fordham is the government relations Representative based in International Paper’s, Washington, DC global government relations office. Phillip is responsible for representation of the company with policymakers on key issues, political compliance administration and development and coordination of Government Relations engagement.
He works closely with our North American Papers Team on issues related to Postal & Paper Options. In addition, he works directly with our Global Citizenship & Fiber Supply Teams on Sustainability focused issues.
Phillip currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for Paper Options.
Prior to joining International Paper in 2016, he worked in the Georgia General Assembly, a successful Congressional Campaign in Southeast Georgia, and as a staffer on Capitol Hill for Congressman Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (GA-01).
Fordham graduated cum laude from Georgia State University with a degree in Political Science, and received his MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
