Since joining the company in 1997, Mary Mann has focused on promoting sustainable forestry, fiber supply issues, tax, pension reform and international trade matters. Currently, Mann has primary responsibility for legislative issues relating to domestic and international tax reform and trade, as well as advocacy aimed at advancing the company’s goal of growing globally.
She has represented the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) as director of federal government relations. At NMMA she was responsible for developing an industry wide coalition to successfully repeal the 1993 federal excise tax on boats, planes and luxury products.
Mann began her career at the U.S. Senate Small Business Committee. She is a graduate of Wheaton College, Massachusetts. She also attended the Oceanic School. Mann is a board member of the Washington D.C. Tax Coalition and serves on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Forest Products (ITAC-7).
