Community Involvement

International Paper seeks to partner with its communities and is committed to supporting local economies through the use of local employment and services wherever feasible. We also provide charitable support to the communities where our employees live and work.

The needs of our communities vary and we aim to provide the support that’s needed most. This includes helping to fund necessary improvements to local medical, sports or culture infrastructure, cooperating with organizations such as United Fund for Belgium, United Way and other local charities, as well as paper donations to local children’s clubs or schools. In addition, our volunteers support many good causes locally each and every day. Some of our local initiatives include:

Svetogorsk City Hospital Renovation

As a responsible investor, International Paper is engaging to help improve the medical, social and cultural infrastructure at the city of Svetogorsk. This engagement comes in addition to the various charitable initiatives the company is carrying out to support the underprivileged in the local community.
