The Power of Color

The human eye sees more green hues in the visible color spectrum than any other color. As the pervasive color in nature, it creates an ideal backdrop in interior design. Because of its natural balance of cool (blue) and warm (yellow), it strikes us as tranquil and refreshing. However, green can also be associated with illness or undesirable institutions.

The color green has an ugly side too. In the late 18th century, a highly toxic pigment called Scheele's Green was used in wallpaper within Napoleon's residence and is rumored to have contributed to his death.
