Postmark Plus Print SetUp
For optimal performance, we recommend the following:
  1. The Postmark PlusTM surface allows you to use finer line screen photopolymer printing plates, and consequently, higher line anilox rolls.
  2. Although every press is different, when you use Postmark Plus you will now get the detail you always wanted in process printing. You can take that step beyond the traditional 100 line screen plate using 400 to 500 line (4.5 volume) anilox rolls. With Postmark Plus, you have the capability to print high-quality 4-color process printing at 133/150 line screen and utilize 600 line (2.8 - 3.6 volume) to 700 line (2.4 - 3.2 volume) anilox rolls.
  3. When printing solid coverage, Postmark Plus's high ink holdout and smooth surface allow the printer to move from 300/7.0 (or higher) volume anilox rolls to 400/500 line (4.0-4.5 volume) anilox rolls while still acheiving the densities you did when running lower line screens and higher volumes on white wove.
  4. High-quality 4-color process printing at 133/150 line screen photopolymer plates.

  5. Ink
    1. High density, fast drying
    2. 23 --->25 sec. viscosity (Higher viscosities can be used to allow greater densities.)
    3. pH 9.0 ---> 9.5
  6. Flexo presses should hold good registration and be equipped with chambered ink metering. In-between dryers are recomended but not required.
  7. Printing solid/line colors - Y-M-C-K (all colors) can utilize 400 4.0/4.5 anilox rolls and achieve excellent ink density and coverage.
  8. Trapping solid/line colors - In-between color dryers are strongly recommended.

More benefits:

  1. Postmark Plus's Improved printing surface allows you to capture the full "dot" on paper and not just part of it. This gives you better detail in your copy, fuller colors, improved ink coverage and better print contrast.
  2. Greater ink holdout capabilities improve ink density when printing both 4-color process and solid/line printing.
  3. Higher ink densities allow the use of finer line anilox rolls. This translates to dollar ($$) savings in ink usage as well as improved production speed.
  4. Postmark Plus prints great with water-based or UV inks.
