Shorewood produces more than half of the world’s music packaging and printed graphics, serving nearly every label and many of the leading recording artists of our time. One of the company’s first achievements was the introduction of the Shorepak®, a one-piece record jacket that quickly became the standard throughout the record industry in the United States, Canada and Europe. From there, Shorewood grew into one of the top suppliers for the international music industry, keeping pace with over 5 decades of music packaging.
Today, our special packaging team answers the call for one-of-a-kind packaging that showcases our customers’ special releases – from music compilations to special collector’s editions. The process begins with “out-of-the-box” brainstorming which leads to 4-color renderings and prototype samples of several design concepts for customer consideration. Special packaging projects often utilize multiple printing techniques, diverse substrates and non-traditional components, necessitating teamwork from several Shorewood facilities to turn concept into reality. |
