New York, NY - October 13 2006 - Shorewood Packaging, a business of International Paper, announced today it has relocated its LA Sales office to a larger, freestanding facility. This move creates a Shorewood Packaging and Display Design Center that offers Home Entertainment and Consumer Products companies on the West Coast a broader spectrum of services. It is designed to provide a unique environment for an increased focus on creative services and regional customer support.
With this expansion, Shorewood Display joins the operation, bringing point-of-purchase services, including project management and graphic/structural design. "By combining Shorewood Display with Shorewood Packaging in LA, we are able to offer our customers the synergy of both innovative packaging and retail merchandising solutions to help them increase their product sales and speed-to-market," said Dustin Wills, vice president of West Coast Sales for Shorewood Packaging.
Shorewood Digital adds digital pre-press capabilities to this new center, creating a state-of-the-art design and pre-production facility. The Shorewood Packaging and Shorewood Display design teams at this location offer a range of creative resources to provide customers with distinct and powerful merchandising solutions. "We're giving our customers and the Design community a complete local offering from the beginning to the end of the packaging cycle," said Wills. "From pre-press and creative, to packaging and displays, it will all be here under one roof." In addition, this new space is the perfect place for hosting customer presentations and project review meetings.
The new Shorewood office - three miles south of its previous Wilshire Blvd. location - has tripled in size to 14,000 square feet and doubled its design/sales/production staff to accommodate these expanded services. The new office is located at 5890 W. Jefferson Blvd. Studio A, Los Angeles, CA 90016; telephone: (310) 280-1700; fax: (310) 280-0152.
This expansion is part of an aggressive investment for growth strategy for Shorewood, which just opened a new sales office in London to service customers in the UK and across Europe, including Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and France. In addition, Shorewood projects a 50% increased investment in capital expenditures - including new equipment and increased capacity - throughout the world over the next five years. |
