Shorewood Packaging Opens New Office in London

New York, NY - October 13, 2006 - Shorewood Packaging, a business of International Paper, has opened a new sales office in London.  From this location, Shorewood will service manufacturers of Home Entertainment products in the UK and across Europe, including Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and France.

"Many of our customers are headquartered in London, so the new office has made it much easier to have regular one-on-one meetings," said Jon Clemett, vice president of sales for Shorewood EPC Europe, Ltd.  "Our office is a central location near an international airport, which makes travel between other European countries easier."

Shorewood's new UK office - One Hammersmith Grove, London WB 0NB - is officially operating.  The business will continue to enhance service to customers, adding a proofing device and other equipment to the London office in the near future.

This move is part of an aggressive investment growth strategy for Shorewood, which also just tripled the size of its office in Los Angeles, California in the US.  The new Los Angeles Shorewood Packaging and Display Design Center in LA provides full service in design and pre-production for both packaging and P.O.P. displays.  In addition, Shorewood projects a 50% increased investment in capital expenditures - including new equipment and increased capacity - throughout the world over the next five years.
