We are pleased to announce that Shorewood Packaging has developed a strategic relationship with Great Western Industries (GWI) of Dallas, TX for plastic printing and converting. This agreement adds a significant component to Shorewood's array of packaging products and will provide many exciting opportunities in our core markets.
GWI is one of the leading providers of UV printing on plastic and foil board in the U.S. Their ultra-modern plant in Dallas is a turnkey operation with all production capabilities under one roof, enabling them to provide shorter cycle times and greater attention to detail. GWI's equipment line-up, all less than three years old, includes Komori LS 40" presses, silk-screen presses, specialty annilox coating presses and a full array of scoring and gluing capabilities.
In the specialty plastic packaging market, GWI provides some of the most creative effects for printing on plastic that we've seen. Shorewood's alignment with GWI will give us a competitive edge with customers who utilize plastic as a component of their packaging strategy.
