"To-Go" Packaging
Building in "Breathability"
To solve this problem, International Paper's Foodservice Division came up with the innovative Family and Casual Dining line of food containers. Instead of foam, we use paperboard packaging, which allows the moisture to escape and the heat to remain. The container also has the strength to protect the food in transit, eliminates seepage due to the container's leak-resistant coating and prevents spilling due to the locking lid. All this ensures that the food arrives home just as appetizing as when it left the restaurant.
Results
The container easily passed a number of stringent foodservice preparation and rigorous travel condition tests, confirming the superiority of this important foodservice innovation. Today, many fine restaurants are using our innovative "to-go" packaging to ensure that their customers get their food just the way they like it.
