Caring for forests is more than a mission. It’s a tradition. As an award-winning dvocate for managing forests for multiple values – including wildlife, recreation, water quality and more - International Paper has supported conservation throughout the company’s history. This has been demonstrated by our groundbreaking and precedent-setting partnerships and agreements.
We’ve played an important role in protection programs for many endangered species like the Red-cockaded Woodpecker. We’ve also assisted in reintroducing species such as the Boulder Darter (a dederally endangered fish) into areas where they had previsously vanished.
We have consistently demonstrated our belief that forests can be managed to balance economic, environmental, recreational and other socially beneficial uses – proving that conservation and working forests are not mutually exclusive. |
