The proprietary DEFOR® system does more than keep fresh fruits and vegetables in top condition all the way from field to market.  It also reduces retailers’ costs and stimulates sales. Designed specifically for produce, the interlocking modular corrugated boxes, customized case erectors and specially engineered palletizing materials allow growers to stack a variety of commodities without damaging delicate items. 

The corrugated boxes and trays provide superior strength and stiffness that protects their contents even in extreme temperatures and high humidity.  They reduce shrinkage from handling and transport as well as in-store labor costs.   Their outstanding graphics and accessibility attract retail customers, who can then serve themselves directly from the container.  New DEFOR containers include the AP with added protection for extended periods of conditioning, storage and transport; the XD with greater depth for bagged tree fruit, citrus and avocado; and the PL  with partial top flaps for grapes and similar fruits.
