Jerry Carter joined International Paper as senior vice president of Human Resources in 1999, with the acquisition of Union Camp Corporation, where he had held the same role since 1996.
Mr. Carter joined the Industrial Relations department of Union Camp in 1980 and assumed several positions within HR in the following years. Prior to joining Union Camp, he served eight years in the U. S. Army as an artillery officer and helicopter pilot. |
