The Pre-print process, like direct print, involves printing the package’s graphics using a Flexographic printing press.  However, in this process, the graphics are printed on linerboard before it is combined with the single-faced corrugated components to form the container.  A multicolor web-fed Flexographic press is used to print high quality graphics on any specified linerboard in roll stock form.  This process assures medium to large volume customers of consistent print quality for orders that are manufactured at multiple container plants. It is often specified for packaging branded consumer products, foods, beverages and home and garden products that are sold through big box retailers.
